After serving as a hub of transportation for decades, the building was converted into a bar and kitchen for the Metropole Hotel before we bought it in 2006 and then transformed it into the beloved establishment it is today.

First time visiting and they did NOT disappoint. The food came out very quick and it was fresh! I got 2 pieces instead of 3. I was full and the fish was very flakey and flavorful. Tatar sauce had plenty of flavor too. Best sweet potato fries I've had in a while! Highly recommend and I will revisit!

Came here for Saturday brunch and sat at the bar. Service was great, the perfect level of attentiveness. I got the chicken and waffles and my brother got the reuben. Both were delicious! The waffles at other places can be flat and the chicken dry, these waffles had great fluffiness and density and the chicken was great! And the drink selection was good as well. Environment is cool as well. Highly recommend!
Great atmosphere and the grilled beer cheese was amazing. Huge selection of Michigan craft beers. Bartender was awesome! Can't wait to go back next time I'm in the D!
