Owner Tim Tharp, who also is the proprietor of the next-door Grand Trunk Pub, (formerly called Foran's Irish Pub) says his new spot will focus on 'gourmet comfort food' that is locally-sourced.

Timothy Tharp owns the bar and took it over in 2007, dedicating it to his father's legacy and Detroit. It was previously a Traub Brothers Jewelry Store, a ticket station for the Grand Trunk Railroad, Metropole Bar and Foran's Irish Pub.

There's something utterly magical about stepping into a former railway station. After all, it's easy to imagine the decades of travelers who made their way through this spot, each embarking on some sort of unique adventure. There's an incredible restaurant here in the Motor City where you can dine in one such former station, and you'll surely want to visit.
